Rockwood's lovin' its new McDonald's

Who would have thought that Rockwood’s new McDonald’s would bring out the three R’s? The R’s — “R” being for “Ron,” include Roane County commissioner Ron Berry, left, Ronald McDonald and Roane County Executive Ron Woody. The three were on hand for a Monday sneak preview of the new restaurant on North Gateway Avenue at Tyler Pointe shopping center.

Ronald McDonald, along with state, county and city dignitaries, help owners John and Sondra Faris cut the ribbon for their new Rockwood location. The restaurant opened to the public on Tuesday morning. Folks camped out all night Monday to be one of the first 100 customers through the door at 5 a.m. Those lucky customers won a free Extra Value Meal every week for a year.
