'Round Rockwood: Nov. 19

Visiting me from Chesapeake were Dr. Joe and Kathleen McKinney. Dr. McKinney received his veterinarian degree from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. They plan to move into the house here on Lakemont Drive in the near future.

The Red Hat Society had an enjoyable luncheon here at Victorian Square. Each resident received a beautiful bouquet of silk spring flowers.

I had two very nice young ladies clean my room. Thanks to Joy Ward and Kathy Ward, who did a real nice job of cleaning.

On Halloween (I have a Halloween birthday), my granddaughter brought me a Halloween pumpkin she carved. Two ghosts were inside of it. The pumpkin began to rot, so I had to find someone to throw it away.

Visiting me were Mickey Smith and Margaret Baker. They have been my family for many years. They brought me a beautiful hand made quilt with each stitch made with love for me.

Our family get-together was at our house on Nov. 4. Joe and Kathleen plan to move into it in the near future.

Among those attending the dinner were Anna and Gary Spears, Gene Evans and Nathaniel and Joy. Also Leslie Gail and Roger McKinney, Nina and Randy Swafford of Crossville, David and Wanda McKinney, Sherman and Kayla McCarroll of Lenoir City, Glenn Gamble, Dannise and Roger McKinney of Harriman, Steven and Bonnie McKinney and me, Josephine McKinney.

Joe and Kathleen made welcome those guests at their house on Nov. 11 for an early Thanksgiving dinner. There was enough food left over to feed three large families.
