Rueff serves as senate page

Elizabeth Audrey Rueff recently served as a page in the state Senate for the 107th Tennessee General Assembly.

Rueff, a fifth-grader at Bowers Elementary School, Harriman, was invited by state Sen. Ken Yager, R-Harriman.

She was accompanied to the Capitol by her mother and stepfather, Annabelle and James Fielden.

Yager issued an invitation earlier this year for area students to experience the legislature in action as a page in the state Senate.

Page duties consist of anything from making copies, running errands, to distributing legislative information to members of the General Assembly.

They report to the chief clerk of the House and Senate.

Yager represents the 12th Senatorial District, which includes Roane, Campbell, Fentress, Morgan, Rhea and Scott counties.
