Post Office hand forced by Congressional resolution

Saturday mail delivery looks like it will continue in Roane County along with the rest of the country.
Earlier this year the U.S. Postal Service announced plans to start a Monday-through-Friday delivery schedule for mail starting in August.
Those plans have been scuttled because of the continuing resolution recently passed by Congress, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors last week. The continuing resolution funds the government.
