School board offended by denial

A routine budget amendment that wasn’t passed by the Roane County Commission drew the ire of Board of Education members.
“I’m just truly shocked that we send a budget amendment over there that we’ve done for years and it comes back,” Mike “Brillo” Miller said. “I just don’t get it.”
Commissioners discussed the $99,012 amendment at its Feb. 11 meeting.
When it was time to decide, six commissioners voted yes, five others passed and four voted no.
