Season ends for Kingston at Austin-East

The 2012-13 season came to a close Saturday night for the Kingston Yellow Jackets as Colt Narramore’s squad dropped a 75-38 decision at the hands of Austin-East in the opening round of the Region 2-AA Tournament.

The Roadrunners made quick work of Kingston as they jumped out to a 19-3 after eight minutes of play.

The Jackets played much better in the middle periods, but they were never able to make a run at the Roadrunners. 

Kingston won the second period, 13-12, and lost the third period by just two points, 15-13, to make the score 48-31 entering the final period.

Austin-East blew things open in the final period as they outscored Kingston 27-7 in the frame to make the final score 75-38.

Andre Wilson and Deion McGill led the Roadrunners on the night with 18 points each.

Brandon Griffis (16 points) and Jordan Huddleston (10 points) led the way for Kingston.

With the victory, Austin-East advanced to the Region 2-A semifinals and a match-up with Gibbs. Fulton played Stone Memorial in the other semifinal.
