-A A +A

The Oliver Springs Historical Society’s C.S. “Sonny” Harvey Memorial Gospel Singing will feature a number of area singers and groups.

The singing, a tribute to the longtime Oliver Springs businessman and Historical Society supporter who died in January, will begin at 6 p.m. Aug. 17 in the former Beech Park activity building on Old Butler Road, Oliver Springs, adjacent to the Windmill Inn.

Featured singers include Crimson River Trio, Kim Griffin, The Walker Boys, McDonald Quartet, Dudley Evans Family, Oliver Springs First Baptist Church Singers, Christy Irwin, Forever His, Robbie Leach and Crown College Northeast Quartet.

Proceeds will go toward restoring the Abston Garage in downtown Oliver Springs. The building, when finished, will function as the town’s museum and archives.

Each person attending is asked to bring a canned-food item, which will be donated to the Oliver Springs Food Ministry.
