A ribbon-cutting ceremony recently celebrated the opening of a new dental clinic in Roane County.
State Sen. Ken Yager, state Rep. Kent Calfee and Kenyon Mee of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce joined members of the business community who helped mark the opening of Sisco Family Dentistry, a new comprehensive family dental clinic in Kingston.
“My family and I are excited to be a part of the Roane County community,” said Dr. Travis Sisco, owner of Sisco Family Dentistry.
“We want to provide you and your family with a friendly and affordable dental care experience.”
Sisco, a graduate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis, has ties to the Kingston community.
His wife, the former Kayla Hatfield, is a graduate of Roane County High School and a former first-grade teacher at Kingston Elementary School.
“We are excited to be living in Kingston and raising our son, Asher, in such a great town,” Sisco said.
Also joining Sisco Family Dentistry as a dental assistant is Miki Meadows.
Meadows has 20 years of experience as a registered dental assistant, with advanced licensures in coronal polishing, dental radiography, nitrous oxide monitoring and sealant placement.
She is also certified in CPR.
“My passion for dentistry is driven by my love of people and the opportunity dentistry gives me to build relationships that make a difference in patient’s lives,” said Meadows.
Office manager Jessica Halcomb is also a Roane County native. She’s a registered dental assistant and has her dental radiology and nitrous oxide monitoring licenses. She is also CPR certified.
“My love of dentistry was inspired by my mother and grandmother, who are also registered dental assistants,” said Halcomb.
Sisco Family Dentistry is in the heart of Kingston, across from Roane County High School gymnasium at 513 W. Cumberland St.
