The Oliver Springs Bobcats had to feel like the NASCAR Nationwide Series regulars when the Cup drivers race against them Tuesday evening when the Berean Christian Eagles had as many goals as cats have lives in taking a 9-0 win over the Bobcats on Tuesday evening at D.J. Brittan Field.

For the first 14 minutes, the Bobcats hung tough with the Eagles, but Berean Christian broke the scoreless filibuster on a penalty kick to make the score 1-0. The lead got doubled 26 minutes into the first half on another Berean Christian goal to make the lead 2-0. A minute later, it jumped up to 3-0, which is what the score would be at the end of the half.

Jacob Pope and Lane Evans had notable shots on goal for the 'Cats in the first half while Jonathan Foster (11 saves) played well in goal for Oliver Springs.

In the second half, Berean Christian pushed the lead to 4-0 54 minutes into the contest and nine minutes later, the lead went up to 5-0. Two minutes later, things went from bad to worse as the score went to 6-0.

Salt was poured into the Bobcats open wounds with three Eagle goals in the final 10 minutes to push the final margin to 9-0.

Lane Evans (9 saves) had some good moments in goal in the second half as the 'Cats just weren't able to overcome a 46-11 swing in shots on goal.
