The Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division has named Jack McNew of Harriman its CASA Volunteer of the Year.
McNew has been a court-appointed special advocate volunteer for five years.
He was instrumental in the formation of CASA of the Ninth Judicial District, the CASA agency serving Loudon, Morgan and Roane counties, and has served on its board of directors since 2009.
Court-appointed special advocates are specially trained volunteers who are appointed by the juvenile courts to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.
