Karen McBrayer tries to put Little Ann at ease during Roane County Humane Society’s recent rabies vaccination clinic in Planned Pet-Hood. McBrayer’s husband, Dr. Jesse McBrayer, is Planned Pet-Hood’s veterinarian.
The McBrayers and Leeanne Talbot prepare to give Cosmo his annual injections at the vaccination clinic. Pet owners wanting to take advantage of such opportunities have one chance: the Tennessee Department of Health will have rabies vaccination clinics on May 7: from 9 to 11 a.m. at Midway High School and from noon to 2 p.m. at Kingston Elementary School. Cost is $10 for a one-year vaccination.
