TVA officials say ratepayers can blame spring storm damage for the increase they can expect bills after July 1.
The TVA website said that the total monthly fuel cost will increase from 2.366 cents per kilowatt-hour to 2.689 per kilowatt-hour, an increase in the average wholesale price of 4.5 percent.
The website said the July fuel cost will increase residential customers bills between $3 and $6 depending on usage.
