The Cherokee Middle School Yellow Jackets didn’t play a perfect game Thursday night in their East Tennessee Large School Sectional Tournament opener against Jacksboro, but Mike Snow’s squad did play a close to perfect first half in rolling to a 56-43 victory.
The first half would see the Jackets do little wrong and the result was a 31-14 lead at intermission. Cherokee spent the second half holding on to that double-digit lead as they cruised to the 14-point victory.
