Student recycling program worthy of five stars

As student members of Roane County’s Environmental Review Board, we offer hearty congratulations to Rockwood Middle School in their receipt of a donation from Isotek Systems, a subsidiary of EnergySolutions, for implementing and sustaining a recycling program.

Rockwood Middle School developed a plan to remove paper, cans and plastic from the waste stream destined for the landfill in Dayton. These materials have a beneficial reuse and created a positive return to Roane County.
