Technology park goes platinum: First DOE site to receive prestigious federal honor

East Tennessee Technology Park has become the first U.S. Department of Energy Environmental Management site to receive the Federal Electronics Challenge platinum award.

The Federal Electronics Challenge is a partnership program that encourages federal facilities and agencies to purchase greener electronic products, reduce impacts of electronic products during use, and manage obsolete electronics in an environmentally safe way.

Federal agencies and facilities participate as partners in the program.
