Tedder’s replacement on council is Ahler — for now

Harriman Mayor Chris Mason said he isn’t trying to influence the upcoming election for an unexpired council seat.
Mason appointed Chris Ahler to fill the seat until the August election.
Ahler is one of several who have taken out a petition for the seat.
Mason said he’d already approached Ahler about filling the seat before he realized that the seat once filled by Chase Tedder, who left to be a park ranger at Yellowstone National Park, had to be put on the Aug. 2 election ballot.
