The Town that Temperance Built hasn’t been “dry” for more than a decade, and Harriman officials may be on a path toward loosening beer restrictions even further.
The relaxed restrictions to go before Harriman City Council propose allowing for beer sales during special events for occasions such as festivals and weddings.
“I wouldn’t have a problem at the Labor Day festival if you had a place fenced off,” said Allen Williams, chairman of the Harriman Beer Board.
