FRIDAY, FEB. 8
• A public country music show and dance featuring The Riverfront Band will be from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Harriman American Legion. Smoking and alcohol are prohibited.

SATURDAY, FEB. 9
• CASA Winter Blast will begin at 7 p.m. in the Princess Theatre at 421 N. Roane St., Harriman. Prizes, refreshments and entertainment by Jimmy Wayne are planned. Contact CASA of the Ninth Judicial District at 717-4186 or info@casaninth.org for ticket information.

MONDAY, FEB. 11

• Roane Choral Society rehearsals will begin at 7 p.m. in the choral room at Roane State Community College. All members are needed in preparation for “Lift Every Voice,” a concert of spirituals and gospel music honoring African American history. Roane County Community Chorus will join the group for this presentation planned for 7 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Princess Theatre, Harriman. Call 376-6710 for details.

• Babahatchie Community Band rehearsal begins at 8 p.m. in the Babahatchie Band Room at Harriman High School. Wind and percussion instrumentalists are encouraged to join. Call 882-3446 for details.

TUESDAY, FEB. 12
• A Mardi Gras masquerade event will start at 6 p.m. in the Rockwood Event Center at 116 W. Rockwood St. Admission of $15 per person or $25 per couple includes a dinner of gumbo, garlic bread, king cake and a masquerade cocktail; entertainment will be provided by Arts in Motion dancers and the Roane State Jazz Band and Celebration Singers. Proceeds will benefit Roane State Community College’s concert choir to help with its performance in New York’s Carnegie Hall.
