The state's first baseball rankings of the year were released Tuesday, and the news was good for the Rockwood Tigers as Joey Cofer's squad are sitting atop the Class A standings.
The Tigers celebrated their No. 1 ranking on Wednesday by ripping Greenback in a double header, 14-3 and 13-3.
Offense was the name of the game for the Tigers as Rockwood pounded out 29 hits in 10 trips to the plate. Eleven of those hits went for extra bases as the Tigers banged out six doubles, one triple and four home runs on the evening.
