Tim Ward, the owner of Tim’s Tire Service in Harriman, is charged in a criminal indictment in Catoosa County, Ga.

Ward, 51, was arrested on April 17 and spent Easter weekend in the Roane County Jail.

According to a Roane County Sheriff’s Office report, Deputy Junior Templeton met Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office Detective Alan Miles and two detectives from Norfolk Southern at Tim’s Tire Service.

“I then took Mr. Timothy Ward into custody at approximately (1:34 p.m.) and transported him to the Roane County Detention Facility without incident,” the report said.

Records from Catoosa County Superior Court show Ward is charged with violating the Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

“I cannot release any information on the case at this point as it is an active ongoing investigation,” Miles said when contacted about the case.

Ward was released from the Roane County Jail Monday afternoon on a $20,000 bond.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Catoosa County Superior Court on Friday.

Templeton charged Ward with being a fugitive from justice. He’s scheduled to appear in Roane County General Sessions Court on that charge next month.

A message left for Ward at his tire business was not returned.

No one answered at another phone number listed for him.
