Today’s the last day to register to vote

Columbus Day is a holiday for most Roane County Courthouse workers.

The Roane County Election Commission, however, is open and doing business as usual today, Monday.

“Even though this is a holiday for courthouse employees, our office will be open, since Oct. 8 is the deadline to register for this election,” said a release from the election commission.

Election Day is Nov. 6. Early voting for state and federal races is Oct. 17-Nov. 1. Call the Election Commission at 376-3184 for details.
