The traffic light at Harriman High School isn’t quite the problem it’s been in the past.
Using parts of other traffic lights, Harriman Utility Board was able to get enough spare parts to make the signal at Roane and Georgia streets easier to see.
In the past, bright sunlight made it difficult for drivers to tell whether the fading traffic signal was red or green.
City officials wanted to improve the signal, especially now that school is in session.
