Wartburg sweeps Sunbright

SUNBRIGHT – Wartburg’s high school basketball teams captured their first sweep of the season at Sunbright last Tuesday night in District 4-A action.

In the first meeting of rookie coaches, Jason Davis’ Lady Bulldogs ran away with a 70-34 victory over Allen Davis’ Sunbright squad. In the boys’ game, Wartburg’s Caleb Bunch fired in a career-high 37 points to lead the Bulldogs to an exciting 77-69 win over the Tigers.
