Wartburg tops Tigers 1-0 in scrimmage

SUNBRIGHT - It had been nearly four years since Sunbright and Wartburg faced off on the gridiron, but the two long-standing county rivals met for a scrimmage to wrap up their two weeks of spring practice last Thursday evening in Tiger Town.

With the two varsity teams getting 40 offensive plays each, the defenses dominated play with only one score in the 80-play scrimmage. Wartburg used a 34-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Trout to Drew Jenkins on their next-to-last play for the lone score and for a 1-0 win over Sunbright.
