The Midway Green Waves and Lady Waves picked up a pair of big wins Tuesday as both knocked off Berean Christian School in a pair of District 3-A games at Midway.
In the first game of the evening, the Lady Waves used a big first quarter in picking up a 49-38 victory over the Lady Eagles.
Midway's boys waited until the second half to do most of their damage, but the wait was worth it as Darrell Ruffner's squad picked up a 51-32 victory.
Midway will look to defend their home floor again on Friday when they take on Kingston.

Midway would lead 18-4 after eight minutes of play, but they did have trouble delivering an early knockout as Berean Christian stayed just close enough to keep the Lady Waves on edge.
The Lady Eagles won the second quarter by one point and the third quarter by two to pull within 10 points at 35-25 with eight minutes left to play.
Midway, however, never let the Lady Eagles get too close as they added a point to their lead in the final period of play.
Hayley Roberson (15 points) and Allison Klinker (12 points) scored in double figures for Midway while Alisa Barger added nine.

Midway trailed at halftime, 20-19, but the second half belonged to the green and white.
The Green Waves took control of the game with a 15-4 run in the third period then Midway put the game with a 17-8 advantage in the final period of play.
Seven different players scored for Midway on the night with Thomas Viar (11 points) and Caleb Ruffner (10 points) leading the way.
