State Rep. Julia Hurley has yet to appear before the Roane County Commission to explain why she didn’t file a bill on its behalf.
The request has been pending for nearly three months.
When asked if she planned to attend the May 9 commission meeting, Hurley responded, “No. I am in session.”
The General Assembly session ended on May 21.
The commission meets again today – June 13 – at the Roane County Courthouse.
