Rockwood officials are making strides to rectify a number of deficiencies that have regularly been part of the city’s financial audits in recent years.
Rockwood City Council will consider first reading of an ordinance at Monday’s regular meeting to create an internal financial controls policy, use of credit card policy and missing receipt affidavits.
Changes in policy have already been implemented by City Recorder Becky Ruppe, but she said this will go a long way to making the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury happy.
