On Aug. 17, the editor of our newspaper wrote an article for the “Nuts and Bolts” section of the opinion page.
It concerned a particular letter that the editor had modified prior to publication and the explanation of how and why it was so done.
If I may I would like to address one of the details of that article.
One of the subjects the original letter addressed was the protests in Madison, Wis., over the altering of laws governing public employee unions and, specifically, the teachers unions.
