Rockwood City Council officially wrested control of three city-owned utilities Tuesday by disbanding the board that governs them.
By a 4-2 vote, council members approved an ordinance on second and final reading that puts the council and mayor over the operations of Rockwood Water, Sewer and Natural Gas. The ordinance overwrites the city’s municipal code and allows all six council members and the mayor to sit as the board.
