Starting this June, UT Extension Roane County will offer a “Canning College.”
Participants will be taught how to preserve foods with the most up-to-date research-based techniques.
This course is once per week for three weeks. Throughout the three weeks, participants will be taught how to make strawberry jam, sweet pickles and how to pressure can low-acid foods such as green beans.
Additional topics will be covered, including freezing and drying foods.
