Road construction won’t slow motorists across Tennessee over the Fourth of July holiday.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes beginning at 6 a.m. July 3 through 6 a.m. July 8 to provide maximum roadway capacity for holiday travelers.
The nomination period is open for Farm Service Agency county committees.
“I encourage all eligible farmers and ranchers to participate in this year's county committee elections by nominating candidates by the Aug. 1 deadline,” said U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.
“County committees are a vital link between the farm community and the U.S. Department of Agriculture and provide an opportunity to farmers and ranchers for their opinions and ideas to be heard,” he added.
