    Lanita Drinnen of Lenoir City and Dewayne Drinnen of Maryville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ciera Drinnen of Lenoir City, to Josh Hensley of Lenoir City.

    He is the son of Dale and Debbie Hensley of Kingston.

    The ceremony will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 5 in Bradbury United Methodist Church, Kingston.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Floretta Clark of Lenoir City, the late Joyce Logan of Lenoir City, and the late Ray and Mary Drinnen of Maryville.

    Mr. and Mrs. G. Atmar Thompson Jr. of Chattanooga announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth Thompson of Ooltewah, to Thomas Warren Smith of Ooltewah.

    He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Warren Smith of Harriman.

    The ceremony will be at 6 p.m. May 2 in Shoal Creek Club in Birmingham, Ala.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sandra Brock and the late Harold E. Brock Sr. of Chickamauga, Ga., and Villa Thompson and the late Gerald A. Thompson Sr. of Branchville, S.C.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Daugherty 51st

    James William Daugherty Sr. and Brenda Sue Daugherty celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on Dec. 28.

    “God bless you, Mom and Dad,” said their family, which includes Christina Daugherty; David, Sissy and Ethan Christmas; and Bill and Jill Daugherty.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Lehman 50th

    Carl and Joann Lehman of Rockwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 21.

    They were married on Nov. 21, 1964, in Rockwood First Christian Church, with the Rev. Vernon Greenhalgh officiating.

    He is retired from Jerry Duncan Ford, where he spent 45 years as parts and service coordinator.

    She was a cafeteria worker at Ridge View Elementary School, Rockwood, for 30 years before retiring. She then went to work for Junior’s Restaurant, Rockwood, where she became famous for her coconut and chocolate pies.

  • Tenley and Leyton Bolden

    Twins Tenley and Leyton Bolden turned 1 year old on Oct. 29.

    They celebrated on Nov. 1 with a Dr. Seuss-themed party with relatives and friends.

    They are the children of Tim and Amber Bolden of Harriman.

    Grandparents are Steve and Mona Bolden of Harriman, Dave and Leslie Senk of San Ramon, Calif., Scott Parcels of Davidson, Mich., and Lyle Yingling of Knoxville.

    Mr. and Mrs. Ronny Young of Smithville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Alyssa Anne Young, to Daniel Lee Leslie.

    He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Leslie of Kingston.

    The ceremony will be at 4 p.m. Oct. 25 in Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church, Smithville.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Violet Pack and the late John W. Pack, and James Young and the late Marie Young, all of Smithville.

    Madison Kaye Ariks was born at 9:41 a.m. July 12 in Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville.

    She weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.

    She is the daughter of Chris and Jessica Ariks of Kingston.

    Grandparents are Ronnie and Rhonda Nickell of Oakdale, and the late Angelia Ariks of Kingston.

    Great-grandparents are the late Nancy Edmonds of Pennington Gap, Va., the late Jimmy Nickell and Reva Nickell of Kingston, and the late Ruby Johnson and Lonnie and Sue Johnson of Kingston.

    Rob and April Viar announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittanie Nichole Viar, to Benjamin Drew West.

    He is the son of David and Sharon West.

    The ceremony will be on Oct. 11 at the Shipwash farm. Formal invitations have been sent.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Midway High School and Tennessee Wesleyan College. She teaches third grade at Sweetwater Elementary School.

    The prospective groom is a graduate of Tellico Plains High School. He is head foreman at GUBMK Contractors at Watts Bar Dam, Meigs County.
