  • Logan Conner Clark

    Logan Conner Clark turned 7 years old on Dec. 1. He celebrated on Nov. 26 with a party at Zuma Fun Center with a four wheeler cake with friends and family.

    He is the son of Dusty and Aleta Clark of Rockwood.

    Grandparents are Hubert and Clara Clark, and Mary Harris, all of Rockwood, and the late Lee Harris.

    Kathy Lynn Rider of Anniston, Ala., and Clifton David Matheson of Harriman were married in an outdoor ceremony on Oct. 15 at their home in Harriman. The Rev. Joe Andrew of Ten Mile officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Donald and Linda Rider of Fruithurst, Ala., granddaughter of the late Albert (Mack), and Virginia McClellan of Anniston, Ala., and the late Jack and Willie Stapler of Bremen, Ga.

    Nancy Banken Cloyd and Peter J. Ortiz were married on Nov. 11 in Riggs Chapel Baptist Church.

    Pastor Jimmy Banken officiated during the evening ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Odeen Banken, Harriman, and the late Robert Banken.

    The groom is the son of Mercedes Ortiz, Carolina, Puerto Rico, and the late Providencio Ortiz.

    Abigail Grace “Abby” Ariks was born at 9:53 a.m. Nov. 2 in Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville.

    She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

    She is the daughter of Chris and Jessica Ariks of Kingston.

    Grandparents are Ron and Rhonda Nickell and the late Angelia Ariks, all of Kingston, and Johnny Ariks of Decatur.

    Great-grandparents are Reva Nickell and Lonnie Johnson of Kingston, Sue Johnson of Harriman, and the late Nancy Edmonds of Pennington Gap, Va.
