  • Payton Madox ‘Max’ Richardson

    Payton Madox “Max” Richardson celebrated his sixth birthday on March 8 with a Spider-Man-themed party.

    He is the son of Cliff Richardson and Shauna Richardson.

    Grandparents are Jack and Diane Woolum of Kingston, the late Jerry D. Richardson, and Michael and Kay Griffith of North Carolina.

    Great-grandparents are the late J.D. and Mabel Waldrop, the late Otis and Bessie Richardson, Anita Mosley and the late James Mosley.

  • Elijah Brock

    Elijah Brock celebrated his third birthday on Jan. 30 with a Batman-themed party.

    He is the son of Philip and Lori Brock of Harriman.

    Grandparents are Wayne and Shirley Bullard of Harriman, and Bob and Emily Brock of Rockwood.

    Great-grandmother is Ida Lou Nelson.

  • Cole Thomas Tedder

    Cole Thomas Tedder celebrated his third birthday on March 3, with a Thomas and Friends-themed party at Harriman Community Center with family and friends.  

    He is the son of Marty and Robin Tedder of Harriman.

    Grandparents are Ernest and Barbara Tedder and Charles and Becky Lamance, all of Harriman.  

    Cole has an 8-year-old brother, Jace Simeon Tedder.

  • Webb-Sterner

    Tony and Donna Webb of Harriman announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittany Paige Webb, to Zachary George Sterner.

    He is the son of George and Cinda Sterner of Franklin, Pa.

    The ceremony will be on Aug. 25 at Norris Dam, Norris. A reception will follow at Norris Dam. Another is planned in Pennsylvania.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College with a degree in human resources. She is employed with Jacobs Engineer.

  • Crabtree-McConkey

    Jimmy and Lisa Crabtree of Rockwood announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Crabtree, to Robbie Scott McConkey.

    He is the son of Gary McConkey and Marsha Hoskins of Knoxville.

    The ceremony will be at 1 p.m. March 24 in North Rockwood Baptist Church.

    The bride-elect is an optician with Eye Center of Oak Ridge.

    The prospective groom is a lab technician with Tetra Recycling in Knoxville.

  • Peyton Crawford Witter

    Peyton Crawford Witter celebrated his fifth birthday Feb. 25 with a Star Wars Lego cake and a glow-bowling party.

    He is the son of Jacob and Melissa Witter of Rockwood.

    Grandparents are Molly and Jim Crawford of Napoleon, Ohio, and Debbie Witter of Leesburg, Fla.

  • Madeline marks 90th with family

    Madeline Lucille Hill Moates celebrated her 90th birthday on Jan. 9 with her family in Ruby Tuesday, Harriman.

    She was born Jan. 9, 1922, in Auburn, Maine.

    She and her husband of 56 years, the late James F. Moates, had four children. There are also nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

    Attending the birthday party were her daughter, Becky Thomas; her oldest son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Debbie Moates;

  • Goad-Greene

    Dennis and Vickie Goad of Robbins announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda, to Seth Greene.

    He is the son of Doug and Cathy Greene of Kingston.

    A March ceremony is planned.

    The bride-elect’s grandparents are Loretta Hamby of Robbins and the late Tim Hamby, and the late Bessie Goad.

    A registered nurse with Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, she is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, and is pursuing a degree to become a nurse practitioner.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Douglas 60th

    Mr. and Mrs. Bill Douglas of Harriman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 9.

    Douglas and the former Timmie Stout were married Feb. 9, 1952, in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Harriman.

    Daughter of William B. “Sticky” and Vera W. “Granny” Stout, Timmie was born and raised in Harriman. She graduated from high school in 1950.

  • Reba marks 95th birthday

    Reba McCullough of Rockwood celebrated her 95th birthday on Feb. 11.

    She celebrated the special event with her family.
