  • Mr. & Mrs. Colbert

    Julie Anne Kirkham of Rockwood and Richard Logan Colbert of Brentwood were married on Oct. 22 beside the Evins Mill Pond on the south lawn of the Inn at Evins Mill in Smithville.

    The Honorable David Durham officiated during the double-ring ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Philip and Lucy Kirkham of Rockwood. Her grandparents include David Kirkham of Rockwood and the late Mary Kirkham and the late James and Mary Elizabeth Frazier.

  • Five generations of Ashcroft family celebrate holidays

    Five generations of the Ashcroft family recently celebrated the first Christmas of the newest family member,  Layce Louise Rogers, held by her great-great-grandmother, Lillie Belle Ashcroft Patterson.

    Layce’s family also includes mother, Heather Ashcroft Rogers; grandfather, Bob Ashcroft and great-grandfather, Robert Ashcroft.

  • Mr. & Mrs. White 40th

    Mr. and Mrs. Jerry White will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Dec. 31.

    Their day will be celebrated with their children and grandchildren, followed by all the family attending church together.

    White and the former Phyllis Daniels were married on Dec. 31, 1971, in Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Oliver Springs, by the Rev. C.J. Holt, who was pastor of the church at that time.

    He is the son of Fred White of Oliver Springs and the late Inez Keylon White, and she is the daughter of the late Shirley and Agnes Daniels.

  • Logan Conner Clark

    Logan Conner Clark turned 7 years old on Dec. 1. He celebrated on Nov. 26 with a party at Zuma Fun Center with a four wheeler cake with friends and family.

    He is the son of Dusty and Aleta Clark of Rockwood.

    Grandparents are Hubert and Clara Clark, and Mary Harris, all of Rockwood, and the late Lee Harris.

    Great-grandparents are Sis Trew of Rockwood and the late Willie and Ruth Clark.
