  • Mr. & Mrs. Leffew

    Emese Suranyi and Greg Leffew, both of Rockwood, were married on May 28 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Knoxville.

    The Rev. Jason Gattis officiated during the 4 p.m. ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Dr. Leslie and Mary Suranyi of Ontario, Canada.

    The groom is the son of Billy H. Leffew and Dolores B. Leffew of Rockwood.

    The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Andrea Proctor served as maid of honor, and Sarah  Proctor was flower girl.

    June 8 — Restie and Douglas Dagley, Harriman. A boy, Adriel Jayden, 7 pounds, 7 ounces. Grandparents: Vernon “Gene” Dagley; Bonnie Dagley.

    Margaret McGhee and Adam Tinker were married on April 11 in Clinton.

    Joanne Anderson officiated during the afternoon ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of David and Sherry McGhee.

    The groom is the son of David and Linda Tinker.

  • Rosenbalm-Sexton

    Glen “Russ” and Lisa Sexton of Harriman announce the forthcoming marriage of their son, Cody Lee Sexton, to Saundra Nicole Rosenbalm.

    She is the daughter of Wendell and Linda Rosenbalm of Heiskell.

    A September ceremony is planned at Mountain View Park in Heiskell.

  • Madly Hillman

    Madly Hillman celebrated her second birthday on June 11 with a party at Fort Southwest Point with her parents, grandparents, great-aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

    She is the daughter of Chris and Betsey Hillman, Oliver Springs.

    Her grandparents are Peg “Meema” Keating, Auburn Hills, Mich., and Chuck “Papa” and Rosa “Grammy” Smith Hillman, Harriman.

  • Mr & Mrs. Mullins 65th

    Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. “Moon” Mullins are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today, June 22.

    Mullins of Little Emory and the former Mary Turner of Harriman were married on June 22, 1946, in Rossville, Ga., with the Rev. Herman Bowman officiating and family in attendance.

    They have three daughters, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. A 15th great-grandchild is due.

  • Brayden Burney

    Brayden Burney celebrated his third birthday June 9 with a Thomas-and-Friends-themed party.

    He is the son of Scott and Melissa Burney, Rockwood.

    Grandparents are Linda Utley Banks, Harriman, and Troy and Annette Burney, Oliver Springs.

    Great-grandparents are the late Melvin and Lola Utley, the late Junior and Sara Burney, and the late O.T. and Etoy McDaniel.

    Brayden has a younger brother, Shawn.

  • Nevils-Houston

    Douglas and Patricia Pate of Murfreesboro and Phillip and Gayle Nevils of Nashville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Nikki Elaine Nevils, to Landon Wayne Houston.

    He is the son of Michael B. Houston of Crossville and Sally Houston of Kingston.

    The ceremony will be on July 9 in Antioch United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in Marathon Village in Nashville.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Sue Rice of Nashville and the late Boyd Rice, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Nevils.

  • Poe-Voiles

    Mr. and Mrs. Michael Binkley and Rodney Poe of Arkansas announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, McKenzie Renee Poe, to Chad Edward Voiles of Rockwood.

    He is the son of Don and Vicki Voiles of Rockwood.

    The ceremony will be on July 9 in Arkansas.
