  • Mr. & Mrs. Wattenbarger

    Jacquelyn Jacoby and H. Lloyd Wattenbarger were married on April 24 aboard the Queen Mary II in the North Atlantic on a return voyage from England.

    Capt. Paul Wright officiated during the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of the late Albert Smith and the late Marion Lunsford.

    The groom is the son of the late Henry Wattenbarger and the late Christine Taylor Wattenbarger.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Weaver

    Tonja Coranne Widick and Ricky Lee Weaver were married in a private outdoor ceremony at noon Feb. 14 in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

    Chaplain Jim Eastin officiated during the double-ring ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Marion E. and Ruth A. Kettelhut Widick of Nebraska and southern Utah.

    The groom is the son of Maria J. Misamer Weaver of Germany and Tennessee and the late Elmer L. Weaver of Knoxville.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Trotter 50th

    Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Trotter of Kingston will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 27.

    Their celebration will include a dinner with family and a trip to the mountains.

    Trotter and the former Leokadya Bukowski were married on May 27, 1961, in Crown Point, Ind. They met in St. John, Ind., after their mothers conspired to “fix them up” with each other.

    They spent most of their married life in St. John until their retirement and relocation to Tennessee.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Miller

    Lindsey Nichole Booth and Ethan James Miller were married May 14 in Westel Baptist Church.

    The Rev. Mike Higgins officiated during the evening ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of John Booth and Terra Booth.

    The groom is the son of Lisa Reid and Philip “Jake” Miller.

    The bride was escorted by her father. Bridesmaids were Kayla Evans, Savannah Keefer, Tinasha Rogers and Trista Hamby. Jessica Youngblood served as flower girl.

  • Forbes turning 90

    Beatrice Forbes will celebrate her 90th birthday on May 28.

    She will celebrate with a party with family and friends.

    She has four children, Phyllis Whittlesey, Ray Forbes, Ricky Forbes, and Vicki Jones.

    She also has six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.

    Forbes has also been like a grandmother to two special friends, Presley and Jaret Dowker.

  • Mr & Mrs. McGovern 60th

    Mr. and Mrs. Ben McGovern will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on May 22.

    They will celebrate with their children and spouses and grandchildren with a barbecue and a friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em.

    McGovern and the former Joan Armstrong were married on May 22, 1951, in St. Louis.

    He is the retired founder and owner of Cedar
    Bluff 24-Hour Towing. She is the retired dispatcher
    for the towing company and peacekeeper for the family.

  • Brummitt-Kalman

    Mr. and Mrs. George Brummitt of Kingston announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Kathleen Brummitt, to Dennis Philip Kalman.

    He is the son of Herb and Jill Kalman of Bellaire, Texas.

    The ceremony will be on May 28 at the R.T. Lodge in Maryville. A reception will follow.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joyce Seaman of Alden, Mich.

  • Collins-Cook

    Todd and Karen Russell and Steve Collins announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsey Brooke Collins, to Dustin Allen Cook.

    He is the son of Earl and Mary Cook of Rockwood.

    The lakeside ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. June 4. A reception will follow.

    Invitations will be sent, but all relatives and friends of the couple are invited to attend.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charles T. Wright, Clyde and Bernice Collins and the late Pauline Wright and Virginia Wright.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Young 50th

    Ralph and Sandra Young of Harriman will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 13.

    The couple’s children and spouses are Ralph Young Jr. and Brian Young, both of Harriman, TN; Shayne and Willie Williamson of Helfin, Ala., and Robin and Ronald Bredwell of Kempner, Texas.

    There are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A second great-grandchild is due in July.

  • Charlie Morgan Murrell

    Charlie Morgan Murrell will celebrate his second birthday on May 13.

    He will celebrate with a party with his family.

    He is the son of Chris and Whitney Murrell of Medina, Ohio.

    Grandparents are Homer Julian Jr. of Rockwood and the late Carol Julian, and Gene and Ginny Murrell of Spring City.
