  • Mr. & Mrs. Easter 60th

    Mr. and Mrs. Billy “Gene” Easter will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on May 15.

    Easter and the former Geneva Poland were married on May 15, 1954.

    He is retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems. She is retired from Roane Hosiery.

    The Easters have three children: Karen Easter of Knoxville, Michael Easter of Hixson and the late Scott Easter.

    There are six grandchildren.

  • Phillips-Waller

    Jon and Renee Phillips of Ten Mile announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Phillips, to Bryan Waller.

    He is the son of Charles Waller of Ten Mile and Debbie Lowe of Kingston.

    The ceremony will be at 4 p.m. May 10 at the home of Brad and Sherry Patterson of Ten Mile. Invitations will be sent, but all relatives and friends of the couple are invited to attend.

    A reception will follow at the Pattersons’ home.

  • Military Matters: Randy Rollins promoted in U.S. Air Force

    Randy Rollins has been promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

    Rollins, son of Pleas and Diana Rollins of Rockwood, is a 1999 graduate of Rockwood High School.

    He is presently serving as senior controller with 436th Maintenance Squadron, Dover Air Force Base, Del.

    He has served in the military for 14 years.

    Rollins is the husband of Kathy Rollins of Wyoming, Del.

  • Cole Thomas Tedder

    Cole Thomas Tedder celebrated his fifth birthday on March 3 at Tri-City Bowling Lanes with family and friends.

    He is the son of Marty and Robin Tedder of Harriman.

    Grandparents are Ernest and Barbara Tedder, and Charles and Becky Lamance, all of Harriman.

    Cole has a 10-year-old brother, Jace Simeon Tedder.

  • Eastin Cade Sackett

    Eastin Cade Sackett was born at 1:52 a.m.

    Feb. 26 in Tennova Health Care Turkey Creek Medical Center, Knoxville.

    He weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.

    He is the son of Austin Trevor Sackett and Sabrina Taylor Stanley.

    Grandparents are Tammy and Todd Jones of Knoxville, Richard and Janiece Sackett of Lenoir City, and Sabrina “Denise” and Charles Stanley of Kingston.

  • Maggie Rose Richardson

    Maggie Rose Richardson celebrated her sixth birthday on March 8 with a Hello Kitty-themed party.

    She is the daughter of Cliff and Shauna Richardson of North Carolina.

    Grandparents are Jack and Diane Woolum of Kingston, the late Jerry Richardson of New York, and Michael and Kay Griffith of Mount Airy, N.C.

    Great-grandparents are the late J.D. and Mabel Waldrop of Kingston, the late Otis and Bessie Richardson, Anita Mosley of Mount Airy and the late James Mosley.

  • Payton Madox ‘Max’ Richardson

    Payton Madox “Max” Richardson celebrated his eighth birthday on March 8 with a Disney Pixar Cars-themed party.

    He is the son of Cliff and Shauna Richardson of North Carolina.

  • Flowers, dinner for Ruby Julian’s 96th

    Ruby Julian celebrated her 96th birthday on Feb. 21.

    She was honored with flowers and a dinner on Feb. 23 in Walnut Hill Baptist Church.

    Julian is the wife of the late Homer Julian of Harriman.

    She is the mother of Homer Julian Jr. and Tom Julian and his wife, Pat.

    She has four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

  • Rains celebrates 90th birthday

    Johnnie “MaMaw” Rains celebrated her 90th birthday on Feb. 15 with a party given by her children, Jerry, Susan and Mike, in Victory Baptist Church, Kingston.

    She celebrated with relatives and friends and thanks those who attended to make it a special day.

    Rains has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

  • Evans-Lewallen

    Bradley Shane Lewallen and Lindsey Elizabeth Evans, together with their families, announce their forthcoming marriage.

    The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. March 22 in Rockwood First Baptist Church.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of Thomas R. “Butch” and Hyda Evans of Rockwood.

    She is a registered nurse at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville.

    The prospective groom is the son of Ray Lewallen and Cynthia Reynolds of Huntsville.
