    Linda Hensley of Rockwood and Jeff Hensley of Jamestown announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tabatha Nichole Hamby of Rockwood, to Brandon Larry Burke of Rockwood.

    He is the son of Bobby and Kat Burke of Westel and and Rita and Robert Potter of Lancing.

    The ceremony will be on Jan. 15 in Meridian Baptist Church, Crossville.

  • Little Noah MMC's first baby of new year

    Noah Robert Pressley, nestled in the arms of his mother, Jessica Morgan of Roane County, decided to skip his original Christmas due date, opting instead for a New Year’s Day arrival and the title of first baby of 2011 for Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.

    Noah was born at 11:47 a.m. Jan. 1.

    Dad Robert Pressley of Roane County and Lela Holder, a registered nurse with Methodist Family Birthing Center who helped deliver Noah, celebrate the special occasion.

  • Isabella Shae Turner

    Isabella Shae Turner turned 5 years old on Nov. 3.

    She celebrated on Oct. 30 with a Tinkerbell skating party with relatives and friends.

    She is the daughter of Ethan and Patricia Turner.

    Grandparents are Gladys and Paul Powers of Harriman, Susan Turner of Kingston and Ralph Turner of Squamish, British Columbia.

    Great-grandparents are the late Clarence and Betty Nielsen and the late Paul and Annie Tate.

    Isabella has a 7-year-old sister, Blaklee.

  • Laymance-Chrestman

    Dean and Renee Laymance of Mossy Grove announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Deanna Audette Laymance, to Bradley Kyle Chrestman.

    He is the son of Lee and Sherry Chrestman of Rockwood.

    The ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at Grande Vista Bay in Rockwood.

    Logan Conner Clark turned 6 years old on Dec. 1.

    He celebrated on Nov. 27 with a bowling party and a deer-hunting cake.

    He is the son of Dusty and Aleta Clark of Rockwood.

    Grandparents are Hubert and Clara Clark, Mary Harris and the late Lee Harris.

    Great-grandparents are Sis Trew and the late Willie and Ruth Clark.

    Glenda Hawkins Swindle of Kingston announces the forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Amanda Joy Swindle, to Philip Todd Houston.

    He is the son of Lyle F. Houston of Crossville and Bobbi E. Houston of Powell.

    The ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 in Karns Church of Christ in Karns. A reception will follow in the church’s fellowship hall.

    Invitations have been sent, but all relatives and friends of the couple are invited to attend.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Wadlington 60th

    Mr. and Mrs. George Wadlington of Kingston will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 18 by having all the family together for Christmas and having dinner with friends at Whitestone Country Inn.

    They will sing with the Whitestone Singers that evening; singing about Christ’s birth has been the main celebration for their wedding anniversaries all 60 years.

    Wadlington and the former Margie Lee Edwards were married on Dec. 18, 1950, in Memphis, with Mark Harris and James Canaday officiating.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Anderson

    Heidi Gerlinda Buck and Daniel Henry Anderson, both of Midway, were married on Oct. 3 in Kingston.

    Randy Steele officiated.

    The bride is the daughter of Doug and Sally Buck of Springfield.

    The groom is the son of Jim and Susanne Anderson of Midway.

    The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white strapless gown with metallic accents, crystal beading and sequins with semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of pink lilies.
