• Payton Madox ‘Max’ Richardson

    Payton Madox “Max” Richardson celebrated his fifth birthday on March 8 with a Thomas the Tank Engine party with relatives and friends.

    He is the son of Cliff and Shauna Richardson of North Carolina.

    Grandparents are Jack and Diane Woolum of Kingston, Jerry Richardson of New York and Michael and Kay Griffith of Mount Airy, N.C.

    Great-grandparents are Anita Mosley of North Carolina, the late J.D. and Mabel Waldrop and the late Otis and Bessie Richardson.

  • Mr & Mrs. Byerly 60th

    Mr. and Mrs. James L. Byerly Sr. will be honored for their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 19, in the atrium of Kingston First Baptist Church, where they are members.

    The public is invited to attend the reception. The couple requests no gifts.

    Byerly and the former Virginia Louise Harbin were married on March 17, 1951, at her parents’ house, with the Rev. Bruce Dozier officiating.

    He is retired from Orgill Brothers Inc. in Knoxville, and she is retired from K-25 in Oak Ridge.

    They include Nelson, the great-great-grandmother; great-grandmother Mary Rose Nelson of Harriman; grandmother Angela Beth Nelson of Harriman; and mother Caitlin Mical Nelson of Harriman, holding newborn Tinley Adyson Nelson.

    Kristen Gable and Jon Henry announce their forthcoming marriage.

    The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. March 12 at The Lockerly Hall and Arboretum in Milledgeville, Ga., with their pastor, Kelly Maddox, officiating.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Gina Gable of Ten Mile and the sister of Megan Gable of Ten Mile.

    She attends Central Georgia Tech College.

    Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Armes will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. March 12 in Liberty Baptist Church fellowship hall.

    Armes and the former Iva Sue Gallaher were married on March 11, 1961, in Union Chapel Baptist Church, Kingston, with the Rev. L.D. Nolan officiating.

    They live in the Lawnville community and are members of Liberty Baptist Church. He is retired from Carlisle Tire and Wheel, Clinton, and she is retired from K-25, Oak Ridge. They enjoy retirement and spending time with their granddaughter.

    She is the daughter of Matt and Angie Thomas Fritz of Kingston.

    Great-grandmothers are Madeline Moates of Rockwood and Betty Pratt of Urbana, Ohio.
