  • Jaycie Brooklynn Mitchell

    Jaycie Brooklynn Mitchell of Rockwood turned 2 years old on Nov. 13.  

    She celebrated Nov. 14 with a party at a bounce house in Knoxville with family and friends.  

    She is the daughter of Miranda Mitchell of Rockwood.  

    Grandparents are Kendall and Joni Mitchell of Rockwood.

    Great-grandparents are Jerry and Cleta Brackett  and David and Trish Mitchell, all of Kingston, Peggy Carter of Rockwood and Thomas and Joyce Kirk of Knoxville.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Armes 65th

    Pete and Imogene Armes of Kingston were honored on Nov. 13 with a surprise 65th wedding anniversary reception at Calhoun’s at Fort Loudon Marina.

    More than two dozen relatives and friends attended the special occasion.    

    The Armeses were married on Nov. 16, 1945, in Rossville, Ga. Over their 65 years of marriage, they have raised five children and enjoy the periodic family gatherings of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  • Brylee Crouse

    Brylee Crouse turned 5 years old on Nov. 15.

    She celebrated with a special cupcake party with family and friends.

    She is the daughter of Bryan and Brandi Crouse of Bay City, Mich.

    Grandparents are Tim and Vandy Earick and Gene and Claire Crouse, all of Kingston, and Jeff Jones of Knoxville.

    Great-grandparents are Larry and Margie Earick, Jim and Patsy Brown and Bob and Vickie Jones, all of Kingston, Dorris Simmons of Marietta, Ga., the late Reed Julian, the late Florence Crites and the late David Simmons.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Ahlborg

    Stacey Michelle Stout and Glenn Richard Ahlborg were married on Oct. 16 in Bay Voyage Inn, Jamestown, R.I.

    Peter Rosendale officiated during the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter of Howard and Sandra Stout of Kingston.

    A graduate of the University of Tennessee, she is a senior account manager for Amica Mutual Insurance.

    The groom is the son of John and Sandra Ginsbury of Warwick, R.I.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Townsend 60th

    Mr. and Mrs. John W. Townsend Jr. of Lenoir City, formerly of the Midway community in Roane County, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 17.

    A reception in their honor will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 11 in Stone Crossing Subdivision Clubhouse on Hwy. 70, Lenoir City. All relatives and friends are invited to stop by at any time during the reception.

    Townsend and the former Faye Branson were married on Dec. 17, 1950.

    He is retired from Maremont Corp., and she is a nurse at Sweetwater Medical Clinic.

  • Mr. & Mrs. Pair 50th

    John and Wanda Pair will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 24.

    A reception in their honor will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 20 in North Rockwood Baptist Church fellowship hall.

    The Pairs were married on Nov. 24, 1960, in Eagle Furnace Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Farner officiating.

    The couple has a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Janet Pair; and a daughter, Patty Isham.

    There are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

  • McPherson-Cooley

    John and Charlotte McPherson of Harriman announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsay Ann McPherson, to Jeremiah Matthew Cooley.

    He is the son of Mark and Bonnie Cooley of Oliver Springs.

    The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 20 in Harriman Baptist Tabernacle. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

    All relatives and friends of the couple are invited to attend.

    Braxton Olivia Fritz celebrated her fifth birthday on Oct. 11 with family and friends at Tataru’s Gymnastics in West Knoxville.

    She is the daughter of Matt and Angie Thomas Fritz of Kingston.

    Grandparents are Jim and Becky Moates Thomas of Kingston and Ernie and Cynthia Fritz of Harrison.

    Great-grandmothers are Madeline Moates of Rockwood and Betty Pratt of Urbana, Ohio.

    Braxton has a 7-year-old sister, Avery Elise.

  • Deanna Nicole Stooksbury

    Deanna Nicole Stooksbury was born on Sept. 29 in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.

    She weighed 8 pounds and was 20.5 inches long.

    She is the daughter of Freddy and Terry Stooksbury of Rockwood.

    Grandparents are Don and Donna Fickey and Tim and Wanda Martin.

  • Hardin-Hendrickson

    Kay Seaton of Kingston and Gene and Darlene Jones of Harriman announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Angi Jones Hardin, to Nathan Hendrickson.

    He is the son of Fillmore and Brenda Hendrickson of Harriman.

    The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 in Swan Pond United Methodist Church, Harriman. A reception will follow at a family friend’s farm.

    Invitations have been sent.
