    Braxton Olivia Fritz celebrated her eighth birthday on Oct. 11 at JumpJam in Knoxville with relatives and friends.

    Grandparents are Jim and Becky Moates Thomas of Kingston, and Ernest and Cynthia Fritz of Harrison.

    Great-grandmothers are Madeline Moates of Kingston and Betty Pratt of Urbana, Ohio.

    Tim Adkisson and Tina Adkisson announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tasha Lee-Ann Adkisson, to Michael Lee Stockstill.

    He is the son of Michael and Carol Stockstill.

    The ceremony will be in December at Whitestone Country Inn, Kingston.

    Ginger Williams of Kingston and Richard Williams of Knoxville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Anna Joy Williams, to Sean Michael Szemborski.

    The ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 12 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knoxville.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Hugh and Billie Wyatt of Kingston.

    She is a graduate of Roane County High School and Middle Tennessee State University.

    The prospective groom is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s Engineering School.

    Glenda Douglas Copeland of Harriman and William “Harry” McKensey of Dayton announce their forthcoming marriage.

    The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 12 in Believers Voice of Deliverance Church, Harriman. The wedding is by invitation only.

    A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

    The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Charles and Lillie Mae Douglas of Harriman.

    The prospective groom is the son of the late Robert and Ruby McKensey of Dayton.

  • Kingston kids donate birthday money to charity

    Kingston siblings Keira, 8, and Brock Leffew, 6, recently celebrated their birthdays, but instead of asking for toys, they requested family members and friends donate to a charity.

    After learning about the Dream Connection and its purpose, the charity they chose was the Dream Connection.

    The Dream Connection is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fulfilling the special dreams of children who are faced with life threatening or chronically debilitating illnesses in the East Tennessee area.
