Late heroics propel OS

The Oliver Springs High School Lady Bobcats relied on fundamentals to down Oneida, 49-41 Tuesday night at home.

Oliver Springs trailed throughout much of the game. It had only briefly held the lead at the beginning of the third quarter.

Although brief, the Lady ‘Cats wouldn’t go away.

“I think our defense was top notch tonight,” Lady ‘Cat Coach Michelle Christopher said.

“We had some breakdownd, but our goal was to keep the ball out of the post-players hands and they did a good job with that.”
