    Charles James “C.J.” Ragsdale, 77, of Kingston, passed away at his home on Friday, March 23, 2012.

    He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Kingston.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Harriet Ragsdale.

  • Martha ‘Ruby’ Niesig

    Martha “Ruby” Niesig, 87, of Bremen, Ga., formerly of Rockwood, died Friday, March 23, 2012, in Tanner-Higgins Medical Center in Bremen.

    She preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nancy Daisy Currier Baker; and her husband, Richard Niesig.

    Survivors include a son, William “W.C.” Hatfield, Bremen; and a daughter, Brenda F. Brooks, Dalton.

  • Blaine ‘Toop’ Adcock

    Blaine “Toop” Adcock, 91, of Coalfield, died Friday, March 23, 2012, in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Justice Adcock; his parents, Dewey and Hazel Hensley Adcock; and a daughter, JoAnn Chapman.

    Survivors include four sons, Sammy Adcock, Ross Adcock, Danny Adcock and Dale Adcock, all of Coalfield; and two daughters, Linda Hensley, Harriman, and Gail Massengill, Petros.

  • Robert Eugene ‘Chip’ Nelson

    Robert Eugene “Chip” Nelson, 40, passed away suddenly Friday, March 23, 2012, in University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville.

    He was a graduate of Harriman High School. He was a forklift operator with Dana Corp. of Crossville.

    He was preceded in death by a sister, Angela Michelle Nelson; and his grandparents, Eugene and Pauline Tate and Robert and Mary Nelson Kirkland.

  • Heather Murray

    Heather Murray, 25, of Harriman, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at home.

    She enjoyed fishing and loved taking care of her boys.

    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buster and Patricia Lyles; and a brother, Austin Terry.

  • Sonya Michelle Monday

    Sonya Michelle Monday, 46, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Roane Medical Center. Harriman.

    She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Soloman Reynolds.

    Survivors include her husband, Robert Monday, Coalfield.

    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs. Funeral service will follow in the chapel, with Pastor Wesley Duncan and the Rev. David Currier officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Davis Cemetery, Coalfield.

  • Richard W. Goode Jr.

    Richard W. Goode Jr., 81, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2012, in Parkwest Medical Center.

    He was a member and trustee of Kingston United Methodist Church, enjoyed everyone he met, and a friend to all. He was an avid photographer for the church. He appreciated the opportunity to be involved in the new sanctuary’s stain-glass installation. He served as captain of the U.S. Army in the Ranger/Green Beret 82nd Airborne of Fort Bragg.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Goode.

    Gail Young Barnes, 54, of Rockwood, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her residence.

    She was born Nov. 18, 1957, in Rockwood, to Clarence Jr. and Betty Sue Perkins Young. She was baptized at Rockwood Church of Christ.

    She was preceded in death by her parents.

  • Juanita R. Hill

    Juanita R. Hill, 70, of Rockwood, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, in Renaissance Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center.

    She was a member of Rockwood First Baptist Church. She was retired from the Roane County School System as a cafeteria server at Ridge View Elementary in Rockwood.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Hill; a son, Scott Hill; and her parents, Carl Rogers and Madge McNelly.
