  • Olive Mae Wickman

    Olive Mae Wickman,  81, of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010.

    She was born in Pickford, Mich., and married her husband, Morgan, in 1948 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. She raised her family in Southgate, Mich., and retired to Kingston in 1992. She had strong faith in Jesus Christ and was a witness for him until her death. She was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Wickman Jr.; a grandson, Billy Koprince; her parents, Harvey and Margaret Campbell; and a sister, Dorothy Jose.

  • Lee Henry Winton

    Lee Henry Winton, 79, of Harriman, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, in Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville.  

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi Andrew and Bertie Louise Love Winton.  

    Survivors include his wife, Laura Ann Kilgo Winton, Harriman.

    Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, in Evans Mortuary chapel, Rockwood, with Pastor Michael Lee Winton officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery, Rockwood.

  • Berl D. Freels

    Berl D. Freels, 88, of Clinton, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at his home.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Hannah Freels and Annie Galbreath Freels.

    Survivors include seven daughters, Joyce Gaylor, June Ellen Cox, Janet West and Jennifer LeConte, all of Oak Ridge, Judy Sutton, Knoxville, Julia Phillips and Joan Phillips, both of Clinton; and a son, Berl D. Freels Jr., Clinton.

  • James Edward Hickey

    James Edward Hickey, 56, of Rockwood, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman.  

    He was preceded in death by his father, Rolland Blane Hickey; and his wife, Marilyn Diane Hickey.

    Survivors include his mother, Frances Opal Howard Hickey, Rockwood; a son, Marcus Hickey, Rockwood; a daughter, Jayme Elayne Hickey, Rockwood; and a stepson, Glen Andrew Kinser, Houston.

    Memorial service was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, with Bro. Harlon McBride officiating.

  • Jack Brogdon

    Jack Brogdon, 83, of Westel, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, in Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center, Monterey.

    Born April 13, 1927, in Westel, he was the son of Andrew and Molly Crabtree Brogdon. He was a member of Rockwood Church of Christ and Rockwood Lodge 403 F&AM, Scottish Rite and Alhambra Shrine. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and two brothers.

  • Lillie Adcox Baker

    Lillie Adcox Baker, 85, of Harriman, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, in Shannondale Healthcare, Knoxville.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Baker; and her parents, William and Nancy Lou Russell Adcox.

    Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Hayes.

    A private burial service was held. Davis Funeral Home, Harriman, was in charge of arrangements.

  • Lee Roy Robinson

    Lee Roy Robinson, 63, passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, after a battle with cancer.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Sarah Robinson.

    Survivors include three sons, David Simpson, David Robinson and Jason Robinson.

    A celebration will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at 822 Larry Bird St., Kingston. A memorial service will follow, with Marcella Willis speaking and a song tribute.

    At his request, memorial donations may be made to the Church of God.

  • Leroy Alfred Cook

    Leroy Alfred Cook, 61, of Oakdale, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville.  

    Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Cook, Oakdale; and two daughters, Lori Rhody, Kingston, and Stefanie Cofer, Rockwood.

    Funeral service was at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, in Evans Mortuary, Rockwood, with the Rev. Pat McGee officiating.  Burial was at Piney Cemetery, Oakdale.

  • Christine Duncan Jones

    Christine Duncan Jones, 82, of Crossville, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.


    She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilborn Jones; her father, Hubert Duncan; her mother, Ester Duncan Harness; her stepfather, Laford Harness; and an infant son, Wilborn Jones Jr.


    Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Roberts, Midway; and a son, Steve Jones, Wartburg.

  • Ray Bland

    Ray Bland, 90, of Oak Ridge, passed away Monday Nov. 22, 2010, at his home.

    A member of Trenton Street Baptist Church, Harriman, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served on the Hawaiian Islands.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Mary Abercrombie Bland; and his first wife, Marcille Bland.
