    Jerry Warren McFalls, 31, of Kingston, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at his home.

    Born Jan. 29, 1979, in Rockwood, he attended the Calvary Baptist Church, Kingston.

    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lennie Edington and Major McFalls.

    Survivors include his parents, Ralph “Sonny” and Lennie McFalls, Kingston; a brother, Larry McFalls, Kingston; his grandparents, Bill Edington, Crab Orchard, and Hazel McFalls, Kingston; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Audrey Merion ‘Brownie’ Browning

    Audrey Merion “Brownie” Browning, 79, of Petros, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at the home of her daughter.

    Born Nov. 6, 1930, in Petros, she was a lifelong resident of Morgan County. A faithful Christian, she was a member of Family Worship Center in the Stephens community. She retired from Y-12 Plant, Oak Ridge, in 1994. She loved animals, especially dogs. Often, she nursed disabled and abandoned dogs back to health. She also enjoyed gardening.

    James Louis Johnson

    James Louis Johnson, 84, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010, at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

    Known as “Preacher,” “Sign Painter,” “J.L.” and “Papa,” he was born on Aug. 31, 1925, in Seymour, the second youngest of eight children of James Louis Johnson and Liddie Bright Johnson. He married Elsie Drusilla Swafford Johnson on Feb. 6, 1947. They met in church and were side by side for 63 years.

    Paul G. Parker

    Paul G. Parker, 92, of Kingston, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman.

    Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Parker, Kingston; a daughter, Paula Parker Hammer, Charleston, W.Va.; and a son, John D. Parker, Kingston.

    The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, in Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston. Funeral service will follow in the chapel, with Jeff Brown officiating. Entombment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Roane Memorial Gardens, Rockwood.

    James Kenneth Bailey

    James Kenneth Bailey, 58, of Rockwood, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman. 

    Born Sept. 26, 1951, in Rock Island, Ill., he was the son of Richard Allen Sr. and Avis Irene Durkee Bailey. A 25-year resident of Rockwood, he had worked at University of Tennessee Medical Center for 15 years.

    James Phillip Jones, 46, of the Westel community, Rockwood, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at his home.  

    Born April 4, 1964 in Port St. Joe, Fla., he was the son of James Edward and Darene Maria Poole Jones. He was a crane operator for Bayou Steel.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, James Phillip Jones; her mother, Joyce G. Hill; a brother, Richard Hill; and two sets of grandparents.

    Willie Eugene ‘Gene’ Hunter

    Willie Eugene “Gene” Hunter, 73, of Harriman, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at his home.

    Born March 5, 1937, in Kingston, he was the son of Willie Roscoe and Maggie Lee Kelley Hunter. A member of Scarborough Free Methodist Church, Midtown, he was a self-employed carpenter.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dyllis Steven and James Thomas Hunter; and three sisters, Barbara Ruth Brown, Jo Ann Brown and Sally Mae Sheldon.
