    Gladys Marie Kirkland Harris

    Gladys Marie Kirkland Harris, 87, of Harriman, died Friday, March 14, 2008, in Life Care Center of Morgan County, Wartburg.

    Devoted and loving to her entire family, she greatly enjoyed spending time with them, baking cakes and tending to her flower garden. She was a longtime member of Riverside Baptist Church, Harriman.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Elmore Harris; parents, Joseph F. and Myrtle Rutherford Kirkland; one brother; and three sisters.

    Ova Lee Roberts, 86, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in NHC Healthcare, Oak Ridge.

    A member of New Life Church of the Nazarene, Oak Ridge, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother whose great-grandchildren were the delight of her life. She enjoyed her church, sewing, gardening and cooking, and her family has many fond memories of gathering around her table.

    She was preceded in death by parents, Berry and Effie Jamison; and brothers, Aaron Jamison, Claude Jamison and Harvey Jamison.

    A member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Kingston, he was an avid University of Tennessee football fan who served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-55.

    He was preceded in death by wife of 51 years and 11 months, Peggy J. Hall Crowder.

She was a retired Tennessee Division of Employment Security supervisor, a former chairwoman of the Women's Democrat Party of Roane County, and a member of the Women's Democrat Party of Anderson County.

    Judith Wilkinson Deaderick

    Judith Wilkinson Deaderick, 88, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, in the home where she had lived for 55 years on the banks of the Clinch River.

    Born Dec. 24, 1919, in Charleston, Mo., she and her family moved to Knoxville during the Great Depression, where her father found a job with TVA. She was a graduate of Knoxville High School and the University of Tennessee, where she was a torchbearer and later received her master's degree. She was a public school teacher, librarian, naturalist, birdwatcher, reader of fiction and world traveler.
