Clifford Lowe, 85, of Coalfield, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Life Care Center of Morgan County. He was a Christian and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II who who served on the destroyer Escort DE 634 USS Whitehurst. He later retired from Rust Engineering, Oak Ridge. Upon retirement, he enjoyed farming and all Coalfield sports.

He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 63 years, Juanita Emory Lowe; parents, Hoyal and Anna Lowe; and sister, Dorothy Lowe.

Hattie Hughes, 86, of Midtown, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman.

A member of Swan Pond Baptist Church, Harriman, she was a retired Harriman City Hospital nurse.

Orpha Geneva Ray Bryant, 100, formerly of Rockwood, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Roane Medical Center, Harriman.

She was the last surviving charter member of New Hope Baptist Church, Rockwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Bryant; parents, James and Amanda Gregory; and daughter, Gladys Evans.

Survivors include daughter, Joan Foust of Rockwood; grandchildren, Tammy L. Beets of Fredericksburg, Va., and Mike Foust of Rockwood; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Zenna 'Jo' Warner

Zenna "Jo" Warner, 68, of Rockwood, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in Maryville Health Care Center.

She attended Clymersville Baptist Church, Rockwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland "Speck" Warner; parents, the Rev. Robert and Josephine Hill; brothers, Raymond Hill and Robert Hill; and sisters, Gladys Bartness, Opal Sheehan, Wilma Klingen and Joyce Payne.
