“You need to write about The Paris Apartment & Tea Room in Sweetwater,” longtime friend Luci Bell told my wife, Carol, and me one Sunday morning at church.

That’s a difference of 0.3 percent, according to statistics released late last month by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

The state reports 25,570 workers in the county’s 27,560 labor force were employed in April.

In January 2011, the county recorded a jobless rate at 8 percent, 0.8 percent higher than the most recent figures.
