Roane County’s Charles Laxton and Baron Tapp have been promoted in their jobs with Fairfield Glade Public Safety.
Laxton was promoted from sergeant to the rank of lieutenant.
Tapp, formerly an officer, is now midnight sergeant.
Both are former law-enforcement officers whose beats were in the Roane County area.
Laxton began his law enforcement career in 1974, serving in Harriman, Roane and surrounding counties.
He joined the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 1984 and served in many capacities during his career.
